Ensure that your battery has a good charge

  1. Open Settings

  2. Select Battery (a battery icon and a percentage of the battery life remaining will be displayed)

  3. If battery percentage is low, generally indicated when the battery icon is yellow or red, begin charging your device

  4. Under Power Saving, open Battery saver

  5. Ensure that Mode is set to Off

Many devices have dialed back settings that reduce performance to conserve battery power.

The battery icon in the upper right corner will have a lightning bolt if it is plugged in and charging.

Enable Audio only

  1. Join the live session you are speaking in

  2. Enable audio

Turn off other devices connected to your Wi-Fi network

  1. Find every device on your network

  2. Power off each device

Restart Device

  1. Hold down the power/screen lock button for a few seconds

  2. Select Power off and restart. The device will restart automatically

Close out of other programs taking up bandwidth

  1. Open Settings

  2. Select System

  3. Select About phone

  4. Select Software info

  5. Tap the Build number section seven times. This will enable Developer Options

  6. Go back to About phone, and then back to System

  7. Select Developer options

  8. Select Running services

  9. Under App RAM usage, select program(s) that are taking up bandwidth. A Usage menu appears

  10. Under Services, tap Stop. Repeat for additional programs and applications if necessary

Close data-hungry applications, including Dropbox, Google Drive, SkyDrive, Steam, or anything else using data – even an application that just downloads automatic updates for itself.

Check for Device Updates

  1. Open Settings

  2. Select About Phone

  3. Tap Check for Updates

  4. If an update is available, tap “Tap Update” Button

Turn Off Parental Controls

  1. Open the Google Play application

  2. At the top right, tap the profile icon

  3. Tap Settings

  4. Select Family

  5. Ensure Parental Controls are Off

If Parental Controls were in place on your device, be sure to re-enable them after the Juno session.

Wi-Fi

Make sure your device Wi-Fi toggle is enabled

  1. Open Settings

  2. Select Network and internet

  3. Ensure that the Wi-Fi toggle is enabled

Turn off and on Wi-Fi

  1. Open Settings

  2. Select Network and internet

  3. Toggle off Wi-Fi

  4. Wait 5 seconds and then re-enable Wi-Fi

Switch to 5 GHz

  1. Open Settings

  2. Select Network and internet

  3. Tap Wi-Fi

  4. Select the desired 5 GHz SSID and enter password

The 5 GHz band works best with line of sight between the router and device in use.

After joining the network you will see a blue checkmark or the word connected next to the Wi-Fi SSID.

Switch to 2.4 GHz

  1. Open Settings

  2. Select Network and internet

  3. Tap Wi-Fi

  4. Select the desired 2.4 GHz SSID and enter password

The 2.4 GHz band works best when line of sight between the router and device is not possible.

After joining the network you will see a blue checkmark or the word connected next to the Wi-Fi SSID.

Renew IP Address

  1. Open Settings

  2. Select Network and internet

  3. Tap Wi-Fi

  4. Press and hold on the connected Wi-Fi network

  5. Choose Forget network

  6. The Wi-Fi network should reappear momentarily. Reconnect to it and enter the password

When you reconnect to the Wi-Fi network with the network credentials, your device will receive a renewed DHCP lease

CONNECTION

Ensure Airplane mode is off

  1. Open Settings

  2. Select Network and internet

  3. Ensure that Airplane Mode is toggled off

Log out of VPN

  1. Open Settings

  2. Select Network and internet

  3. Select VPN

  4. Disable any active VPN

Switch DNS Servers

  1. Open Settings

  2. Select Network and internet

  3. Tap Wi-Fi

  4. Press and hold on the Wi-Fi network you want to change

  5. Choose Modify network

  6. Enter the network password

  7. Scroll down and tap Advanced options

  8. Scroll down and tap DHCP under IP settings

  9. Tap Static

  10. Change DNS1 and DNS2 to the settings you want - for example, Google DNS is 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 respectively

  11. Tap Save

Reset your Network Settings

  1. Open Settings

  2. Scroll down and select General Management or System, depending on the device you have

  3. Select Reset

  4. Select Network settings reset, and confirm this selection

This will completely wipe out passwords for all Wi-Fi networks previously joined and will reset cellular data settings.

BROWSER

Update Google Chrome

  1. Open the Play Store app

  2. At the top right, tap the profile icon

  3. Tap Manage apps & device

  4. Under Updates available, find Chrome

  5. Next to Chrome, tap Update (if there is an update available)

Clear Browser cache

  1. Open Google Chrome

  2. Tap the three vertical dot icon to the top right

  3. Tap History

  4. Tap Clear browsing data

  5. Verify there are check marks next to Browsing History, Cookies and site data, and Cached images and files

  6. Verify that All time is selected for Time range

  7. Tap Clear data
