Disable proxy settings

Incorrect proxy settings can cause sites to load slowly or not even at all

Chrome

Google Chrome defaults to the OS settings

Windows has two setting that can be adjusted (Automatic and Manual). In most cases having them set to off will provide the best performance

Firefox

  1. Click the three lines under the X

  2. Click Options

  3. Under Network Settings at the bottom of the list click Settings

  4. Make sure No proxy is selected and click OK

  5. Reload browser

Edge

Edge defaults to the OS settings

Internet Explorer

  1. Click the gear icon under the X

  2. Click Internet Options

  3. Select the Connections tab

  4. Click LAN settings

  5. Clear all check boxes

  6. Click OK twice

  7. Reload browser


Disable browser extensions

Chrome

  1. Click the three dots below the X

  2. Select More tools

  3. Click Extensions

  4. Click the blue slider on each extension you wish to disable

  5. Reload browser

Firefox

  1. Click the three lines under the X

  2. Click Options

  3. Click Extensions & Themes

  4. Click the blue slider on each extension you wish to disable

  5. Reload browser

Edge

  1. Click the three dots under the X

  2. Click Extensions

  3. Click the blue slider on each extension you wish to disable

  4. Reload browser

Internet Explorer

  1. Click the gear icon under the X

  2. Click Manage add-ons

  3. Select the desired add-on to disable

  4. Click Disable

  5. Verify related add-ons and click Disable

  6. Click close

  7. Reload browser


Update Google Chrome

  1. Open Google Chrome

  2. Click the gear icon to the top right of chrome

  3. Click Help

  4. Click About Google Chrome

  5. If there are updates available click Update and Restart Chrome

  6. Close and Re-open Juno to see if your issue is resolved

On managed networks, you may still get an error indicating the version is not current even after successfully updating the browser. If this happens please reach out to your IT department.


Clear browser cache

How to clear google chrome cache

  1. Open Google Chrome

  2. Click the Gear Icon to the top right. (3 dots to the top right)

  3. Click Settings

  4. Click Safety check on the left side of the webpage

  5. Click the Clear browsing data button under Privacy and security section

  6. Click the Time range drop down and select All time

  7. Click clear data and exit relaunch google chrome

  8. Close and reopen browser

Clear Firefox cache

  1. Open Firefox

  2. Click the three lines below the X

  3. Click Options

  4. Click Privacy & Security

  5. Click Clear Data

  6. Verify that Cached Web content, Cookies and Site Data are selected

  7. Click Clear

  8. Close and reopen browser

Clear Edge cache

  1. Open Edge

  2. Click the three dots below the X (Upper right corner)

  3. Click Settings

  4. Click Privacy, search, and services (left said of screen)

  5. Under Clear browsing data click Choose what to clear

  6. Choose the desired time range

  7. Add check to Cookies and other site data

  8. Add check to Cached images and files

  9. Click Clear Now

Make sure you are not signed in to your Firefox account when following these steps or you will clear the cache from all of your connected devices


Reset browser settings to default

  1. Open Chrome

  2. Click the three dots in upper right corner below the X

  3. Click Advance on the lower left side of window

  4. Click Reset and clean

  5. Click Restore settings to their original defaults

  6. Read the warning and click Reset settings

Reset Firefox

  1. Open Firefox

  2. Click the three lines in the upper right corner below the X

  3. Click Help and Choose More Troubleshooting Information

  4. Click Refresh Firefox button under the Give Firefox a tune up

  5. Read the warning and click Refresh Firefox

Reset Edge

  1. Open Edge

  2. Click the three dots in upper right corner below the X

  3. Click Settings

  4. Click Reset settings on the left side of window

  5. Click Restore settings to their default values

  6. Read the warning then click Reset
